Elizabeth Mastropierro, L.Ac. (Licensed Acupuncturist), currently located in Richmond, VA, earned her Masters of Oriental Medicine degree at the International Institute for Chinese Medicine in Santa Fe, New Mexico in 2002 and further studied at Chengdu University Hospital of TCM in Chengdu, China. She is nationally certified in acupuncture and Chinese herbology by the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), is licensed by the Virginia Board of Medicine, and is a member of the Acupuncture Society of Virginia. She has been doing advanced training in Tui Na with Tom Bisio and Frank Butler since 2008.

Herbal medicine, nutritional counseling, tui na (therapeutic massage), and exercise and relaxation techniques are emphasized in Elizabeth's treatment protocol. She is dedicated to working with each individual to develop a healthy balance in his/her life.

Elizabeth has been practicing tai chi, qi gong, and vipassana meditation since 1998 and is a dedicated student of Hiromi Johnson and Grandmaster Wang Fu Lai of the Cheng Ming lineage. She has been teaching qi gong since 2004. The practice of tai chi and qi gong are an important element of her acupuncture and TCM practice because it enhances her ability to be truly attentive and effective with each patient.
